An industrial machinery manufacturer was faced with the challenge of managing data reconciliation between e-commerce platforms and its workflow software. To the to automate ordering and production processes and to communicate efficiently with customers about order updates, the company needed a solution that would allow it to integrate Zakeke/Shopify into its software product.
Our customer is a leading manufacturer and international supplier of industrial sewing machines and clothing printers. The company manufactures equipment for a wide range of sectors, including the apparel and digital printing industries. As the company expanded its business by developing printing and embroidery workflow software, it ran into challenges in efficiently managing orders and data updates.
The platform was created as an all-in-one solution to support retailers and large manufacturing companies with their textile and digital printing production processes. From ordering to shipping the finished product, it simplified and accelerated the entire production process. The customer reached out to us for a comprehensive Zakeke-Develop integration that would automate his work processes and improve customer satisfaction. His main goal was that orders placed in Zakeke/Shopify have been made, are forwarded directly to the workflow software and that all order updates in the software are sent back to the shop.
In order to meet the customer's requirements, we built with Zapier an app for the customer's software and created Zaps to automate data synchronization. We started by connecting all endpoints listed in the customer's API documentation. We then created webhooks via API call and integrated this functionality into the one we developed Zapier app.
With the help of this Zapier app, our customer was able to set up integrations within their software solution for their respective clientele. We then built Zaps to implement these integrations. These zaps made it possible to access the information from a Zakeke to automatically send the order placed to our customer's platform. As soon as a new order is entered in Zakeke and the date and time are formatted, this order is stored in Shopify listed and synchronized with our customer's printing and embroidery software via Zapier.
Similarly, after an order is shipped by our customer, the order information is collected by the software and combined with Shopify's order IDs to associate each product. The tracking number is then returned to Zakeke. With this information, Zakeke then sets the status of the order in Shopify to “shipped.” In this way, all order updates, including shipping notifications, are automatically forwarded to the appropriate shop.
The self-built Zapier app improved the expandability of our customer's platform beyond Zakeke or Shopify significant and offered a versatile solution tailored to the customer's needs. In addition to Zakeke integration, we extended the functionality of the software by also providing seamless integration with WooCommerce enabled. By developing our own Zaps for WooCommerce, we ensured that our customer could easily manage their product data across multiple e-commerce platforms with the same level of efficiency and precision.
The WooCommerce integration worked in a similar way to the Zakeke integration, simplifying the workflow and automating important processes. As soon as an order is shipped, shipment tracking is added and the order status in WooCommerce via Zapier updated automatically. Extensive testing was also carried out to ensure that these integrations worked optimally and efficiently.
By automating its production processes, the manufacturer of sewing machines and clothing printers was able to significantly increase its efficiency and improve the shopping experience. The robust Zakeke- and WooCommerce-Integrations within our client's platform enabled seamless data flow and efficient communication between all platforms. These integrations streamlined the process of placing and updating orders, provided customers with information, and ensured efficient inventory management.
By linking our customer's shop to several other stores, the solution also provided a scalable framework that supported growth and provided the flexibility to adapt to future requirements. This connected facility not only streamlined current operations, but also enabled the customer to seamlessly integrate additional platforms and features as their business evolves.
