In view of the costly and inefficient mass ordering processes for European companies and consumers looking for products from Chinese manufacturers, a novel solution was sought. This case study shows the development of a tailor-made marketplace platform, which is Bubble.io was developed. The platform's design was specifically aimed at eliminating the additional costs associated with traditional wholesale and retail channels and connecting European buyers directly with Chinese manufacturers to streamline the procurement process.
The key challenge for our customer was to manage the complexity of direct large orders from Chinese manufacturers. European companies and individual consumers were hampered by prohibitive shipping costs and high minimum order quantities, which made buying small quantities from China both impracticable and costly. There are also logistical challenges and the need for a streamlined process that connects European buyers directly with Chinese suppliers and avoids traditional, more expensive procurement channels.
In response to this challenge, with Bubble.io developed a sophisticated marketplace platform. This platform enabled users to combine smaller orders into lower-cost bulk purchases in an innovative way. It made it easier to access cheaper shipping rates and discounts for bulk orders, which directly benefited European buyers. The platform's capabilities were extensive: It offered secure user logins, a dynamic interface for product creation with customizable quantities and variations, and an automated system for coordinating orders. In addition, secure payment gateways were integrated, which streamlined the entire buying process from ordering to payment, significantly improving the user experience.

Bubble.io made it possible to buy directly from manufacturers and significantly reduced costs for European consumers and companies, as wholesalers and retailers became superfluous. The project, which was completed within a short period of time, has shown how effective customized web applications are in solving complex industrial challenges.
