No Code ist ein Ansatz, der es allen Personen, egal ob Programmierkenntnisse oder nicht, ermöglichen möchte, schnell und einfach digitale Apps, Webseiten, Prozesse oder auch Integrationen zu entwickeln. Der Trend ist gerade in aller Munde und für nahezu jede Anforderung gibt es (nicht nur) ein geeignetes Tool, das den User:innen helfen möchte, Entwicklungen wahr werden zu lassen.
Eine Szene, die sich diesem Trend schon seit längerem erfolgreich angeschlossen hat, ist die Cloud-Automation Szene. No Code Automation Tools gibt es schon einige Jahre und es werden immer mehr mit immer besseren Features. Du bist dir nicht sicher, was Cloud Automation meint? Airtable darf in dieser Auflistung nicht fehlen. Für manche kommt das vielleicht überraschend, ist Airtable doch eigentlich eine Business Software, die Datenbanken und Tabellenkalkulation vereint. Dabei besticht das Tool durch seine einfache Anwendung, flexible Funktionen und Ansichten und nicht zuletzt, und darum führen wir das Tool hier auf, durch umfangreiche Integrationen. Du fragst dich, was genau Airtable ist? Lies es hier.
Klar, die primäre Funktion von Airtable ist das Aufsetzen von Tabellen und die Erschaffung relationaler Datenbanken. Das Tool kann sogar als Backend für Websites verwendet werden und so als CMS verwendet werden. Doch durch die integrierten Automatisierungsfunktionen können noch viel mehr Anforderungen an deine Daten erfüllt werden. So kann über einen Trigger ein Event in Airtable, GSuite, Microsoft365 oder anderen Apps mit einer anschließenden Aktion verbunden werden. Das alles ohne eine einzige Zeile Code. In unseren Augen ein stark unterschätztes No Code Automation Tool.

Make ist ein iPaaS Tool (Du fragst dich was iPaaS ist? Hier entlang), das über eine intuitive und modulare Oberfläche deine Lieblings-Cloud-Apps verbindet. Das Ziel ist es ohne (viel) Code einen automatisierten Workflow zu schaffen, der dir kleine Aufgaben abnimmt. Make ermöglicht dabei deutlich komplexere Integrationen als beispielsweise Airtable. Mit hunderten unterstützten Apps, Webhooks oder HTTP Requests holt das No Code Automation Tool mehr aus deinen Daten raus und das ohne Programmierkenntnisse.

Zapier ist unter diesen No Code Automation Tools wahrlich keine Überraschung. Die amerikanische iPaaS Software versteht es, Marketing zu betreiben und ist in der Szene mittlerweile gut bekannt. Wenn du auf der Suche nach einem Tool bist, das einen leichten Einstieg in die Welt der Cloud-Automatisierung ermöglicht und kleinere Workflows schnell und einfach integriert, ohne komplexen Code zu benötigen, dann ist Zapier deine Wahl.
Zapier kann deine Apps verbinden und Daten integrieren, um einen systematischeren, linearen Arbeitsablauf zu schaffen und dir dabei helfen, dich besser zu organisieren. Zapier setzt dabei auf eine riesige Menge an unterstützten Apps (mittlerweile über 3000) und eine Nutzung ohne viele Einstiegshürden. Noch dazu gibt es eine riesige Auswahl an vorgefertigten Templates, die deine präferierten Anwendungen verbinden.
Zapier ist ein großartiges No Code Automation Tool für den Einstieg, mit dem du kleinere Arbeitsabläufe im Nu automatisierst.

Power Automate ist das No Code Automation Tool von und für Microsoft. Das Beste daran: Das Tool ist in deiner Office365 Lizenz enthalten (vielleicht ohne, dass du es bisher wusstest). Power Automate hält, was es verspricht: mehr aus der Microsoft Cloud herausholen ohne ein Stück Code. Natürlich wird die Microsoft Umgebung auch von den zuvor vorgestellten Tools unterstützt, doch Power Automate bietet noch mehr Funktionen. So ist das Tool eine optimale Wahl, wenn du dich (nahezu) ausschließlich in der Microsoft Welt bewegst und sowieso schon eine 365 Lizenz hast.

Der gesamte No Code Trend lebt natürlich davon, dass das Development für mehr Personen zugänglich gemacht wird, völlig egal welcher Background. Wir lieben diesen Ansatz und hoffen, dass sich in der Szene noch viel mehr tut. Nichtsdestotrotz empfehlen wir bei komplexen und umfassenden Integrationen früher oder später Code-Erfahrung.
Spätestens wenn eine unbekannte Fehlermeldung in Zapier oder Make ausgeworfen wird, empfiehlt sich dies unserer Erfahrung nach. Für den Einstieg sind No Code Automation Tools ganz wunderbar, aber wenn mehr Personen als nur du selbst von den Integrationen profitieren soll, lohnt sich der Kontakt zu Profis. Cloud Integration, iPaaS, SaaS, BPA… Ough, hard to keep track of all these terms. They are currently used frequently (and increasingly) in the context of automation, and it is sometimes difficult to make a clear distinction and distinction. We have already written blog posts on the terms iPaaS, SaaS and BPA, but we’ll take them up again here to make the difference.
But let’s start with cloud integration, because that’s the central umbrella term in which we embed all the other technologies in this blog post.

To illustrate these advantages, an example is suitable that we know well from our everyday work as an automation agency:
The central data to be used here is the data of a major customer. This can be the simplest information, such as the address. This address is required in numerous but completely different processes in the company: on the one hand, for correct invoicing in accounting. On the other hand, in the CRM system, where all the data of the large customer is also stored. But the address is also important in sales, for example, when employees go to the sales meeting on site.
Now the customer announces that the address of the company has changed after a move. This information will reach you by e-mail. There are now two options:
01. The e-mail is forwarded to all affected departments, accounting, sales, customer service, marketing… All persons open their corresponding program, CRM, accounting software, marketing tools (such as newsletter marketing) and change the data already stored there of the customer. This means that in multiple applications, different people do exactly the same thing: change one address.

02. But there is also an alternative: By connecting your applications, thus by integrizing them, the customer’s e-mail, or rather the information it contains about the address change, is automatically passed on to all affected applications: CRM, accounting, marketing, ERP. This does not require any clicks, because the cloud integration detects a trigger, i.e. address change, and thus automatically starts the process.
What sounds unimpressive in a single process becomes more effective when such a process occurs several times a day or weekly. Because there is a lot of data that is available in different applications and should always be correct. If these applications are cloud applications they are suitable for cloud integration.
But cloud integration doesn’t just happen. There are now a variety of applications that enable and implement this. Such tools usually allow us to link the relevant cloud applications on a central platform and define clear rules on when, how, where, how much data should be passed on and what happens to them.
To realize cloud integration, there are various applications and technologies that are sometimes used interchangeably.

Cloud integration is rather an umbrella term that includes numerous technologies, such as SaaS, iPaaS and BPA, and this is also absolutely necessary. Cloud integration is a concept that is made possible by appropriate technologies.
However, all terms share the commonality that they are cloud-based and thus offer enormous potential for growth and scaling. In addition, they are often cheaper to implement and maintain because changed requirements are easy to implement.
